The month of September, Tacoma is celebrating one of their own, the world famous glass blowing artist, Dale Chihuly. You are welcome to hear him speak or see some of his most beautiful pieces inspired by his Northwest home.Come listen as internationally recognized artist and Tacoma native Dale Chihuly speaks about how Tacoma and the Northwest have influenced his art and career.
The event will be Sunday, September 18 at 3:00pm at the University of Washington Tacoma’s Philip Hall will be followed by a chance to meet the artist at a book signing at Tacoma Art Museum. Cost for the lecture is $20/person ($15 for members, $10 for students). Includes Tacoma Art Museum admission.
Also, during the month of September, join a pre-scheduled public docent tour to learn more about the artist Dale Chihuly and his inspirations. Cost is $3/person, plus admission to the Tacoma Art Museum. Here are the dates of the 30 – 40 minute guided tours:
